FAQ
How soon can I take my practical test?

''We do not give specific time frames for our students because every learner is different. We focus in helping you learn well and building the confidence you need in passing your test. Our strategy ensures that we do this in the best possible time and you need to trust us to ensure we get the right results for you.

On average the DSA recommends around 45 hours with a qualified driving instructor, as well as additional private practice. This is, however only an average and you may well require fewer lessons than this or more as there are various factors that come into this. We will access your progress and advice you on the best possible time. Do not forget that our main aim is to get you to pass.

How do I get a provisional licence ?

Before you can start your driving lessons, you will need to apply for a provisional license which you can do by contacting DVLA. The provisional licence entitles you to drive only whilst accompanied by a fully licensed passenger. You can apply for a license as long as you meet the conditions at http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Motoringtransactions/BeforeyouapplyA/DG_10032690

If you prefer, it is also possible to apply for your provisional licence in person or by post, by just filling out a D1 application form. These are available from most post offices, or from the DVLA online ordering service:www.dvla.gov.uk/forms

Can I start my lessons before I do my theory?

Yes, as long as you have a valid UK provisional driving licence and you are at least 17 years of age.

Can I use your car for my test?

Yes you can. In fact we will usually do a lesson with you just before your test and will accompany you to the test centre.

What do I need to bring with me on my first lesson
